This page lists a number of bicycle routes around Wisconsin. In many cases, we suggest alternative routes, where more than one route attractive for bicyclists exists. There are several reasons for this:

Milwaukee-Chicago
This page has a link to a site describing in detail a route between Milwaukee and Chicago. We also describe some alternative routes, as well as a link to a route through northern Indiana to the Michigan state line. A large portion of these routes uses bike trails. Milwaukee to ElkhornThis route takes advantage of one new and one upgraded bike trail. Milwaukee-Door CountyThis page describes a route, with alternatives in a few cases, from Milwaukee to Door County. Milwaukee to the Fox Valley, including the Kettle Moraine A route through Cedarburg, West Bend, the northern Kettle Moraine, and connecting to Fond du Lac, Oshkosh, and the Fox Cities. This route follows the Old Plank Road to Greenbush and then roads to Fond du Lac, connecting to two trails to the west. This page describes the route along Lake Superior taken from a guide issued in the 1970's. Mississippi River to Green Bay (new) This is a suggested route from the Mississippi River at Dubuque to Green Bay, making using of the Military Ridge Trail, the Glacial Drumlin Trail, the Wild Goose Trail, and the Fox River Trail. Great River Road The Wisconsin Department of Transportation has maps available on the web for a route along the Mississipi River.Adventure Cycling Wisconsin Routes Adventure Cycling publishes maps of a route crossing the northern part of Wisconsin from Minneapolis to northern Michigan, with a branch leading southwest to Manitowoc to connect with the ferry to Michigan.
